The Bangladesh Medical Association of North America (BMANA) is one of the oldest ethnic medical organizations and the only medical organization of Bangladeshi origin physicians residing in North America. It was established in 1981 in Michigan and for nearly four decades it has served the needs of thousands of Bangladeshi physicians through the 18 chapters and six alumni associations under its umbrella. BMANA supports the creation of a new generation of physicians by connecting young people to opportunities for observership, externship, internship and residency. In addition, in times of disaster, BMANA has rallied to provide relief support at home and abroad.
